Representational Painter

Ben is a leading contemporary representational artist, a full Member of both the Royal Institute of Oil Painters (ROI) and a Past President of The Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA). He has along standing relationship with Salcombe as has become well known in the area following many successful solo shows over the last ten years. He is now represented by Whinfield Gallery

Working in oils & watercolour and often in plein-air- light, atmosphere and the presence of water are notable features of his work. It is the observation and celebration of these elements that make his work distinctive and desirable.

Ben has also exhibited annually at the Mall Galleries, London since 2004.  To date he has had 24 solo shows in the UK and exhibits regularly in various commercial galleries.  His work is held in corporate and private collections in the UK, USA, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
